The British master’s first retrospective in 40 years, since his 1983 show at the Serpentine Gallery, launches in Anglesey, the island that inspired his deep connection with nature and some of his greatest works.

Beam is pleased to present an exhibition of recent work by Derek Sprawson (1955). It is the first time the gallery has shown a selection of his paintings since the publication of ‘Hy-phen – Paintings, Drawings, Objects’, the first monograph on the artist (Beam Editions, 2022).
Exploring the work of one of the most prolific, versatile and admired female photographers of the 20th century, this exhibition coincides with the recent publication of Beam Editions’ book Dorothy Bohm at 100 – a Life in Photography.
